Under OSHA, all employers with hazardous chemicals in their workplaces must provide workers with training for the new Globally Harmonized System (GHS) by December 01, 2013. Under the GHS, product labeling, material safety data sheets (MSDS) and terminology have been updated and modified to more effectively communicate hazards to workers. This is a significant change from the Hazard Communication Standard, and many employers are confused about requirements and compliance methods.
